Four-wheel drive, ceramic brakes and a new suspension design allows the car to be steered in a graceful manner. by admin on Feb.24, 2010, under MENS FASHION, OVERACHIEVERS LIFESTYLE, TECHNOLOGY, TRANSPORTATION

1.2 Million Dollar Black Ruby Rolls-Royce Phantom Coupe

by admin on Feb.24, 2010, under OVERACHIEVERS LIFESTYLE, TRANSPORTATION

DC Design’s Indian couchbuilder Dilip Chhabria designed this one and only $1.2 million “Black Ruby” Rolls Royce Coupe. The “Black Ruby” is exactly what happens when you cross a Rolls Royce Phantom with a Nissan 350Z. With a ‘one of a kind’ design, the one-off “Black Ruby” adds to its uniqueness with butterfly doors and red interior. The all black coupe was initially created upon the request of an Indian Maharaja (king), but it must have become undesirable because it is now up for grabs.

Audi E-tron vs The Detroit Showcar Audi E-tron

by malik on Jan.15, 2010, under DESIGN, OVERACHIEVERS LIFESTYLE, TRANSPORTATION

Last year, at the 09 Frankfurt Motor Show, Audi introduced their E-tron supercar concept (seen in red), a gorgeously designed electric car powered by a 1,036 pound lithium ion battery pack and 4 electric motors for each wheel. The lust-worthy E-tron, capable of 313 horsepower and 3,319 lb-ft of torque, can achieve 0-62 mph in 4.8 sec with a maximum speed of 125 mph and go 154 miles on just one charge.

Following up on last year’s debut, Audi recently unveiled their second rendition of the E-tron (seen in blue/gray) at the 2010 Detroit Auto Show. While the earlier concept was once the main attraction, the newer Detroit Showcar Audi E-tron quickly stole the show.  Featuring a more sleek & aggressive design with sharper curves and an overall more attractive outline, the second concept can easily be labeled the more desirable E-Tron. Similar to the first concept, the newer E-tron is also packed with a lithium ion battery, however, only 2 electric motors are included for the rear wheels enabling a 204 horsepower system. With a smaller size you would expect the latest E-tron to have an increased speed, yet that’s not the case, it was clocked at 5.9 seconds for a 0-62 mph sprint with a top speed of 124 mph, slightly slower than the first model. However the reduced speed does not affect the battery, which can do 155 miles on a single charge.

Analyst expect the original E-tron version to be marked around the $200,000 price range, and because of their close similarities, the newer model will probably fall into the same category. Audi plans to build a few examples of the first concept by 2012, but there’s no mention of whether the newer E-tron will ever go into production. While both have their good and bad aspects, which E-tron concept would you like to see mass produced?

1.4 Million Dollar Bugatti 16C Galibier

by malik on Jan.08, 2010, under DESIGN, OVERACHIEVERS LIFESTYLE, TECHNOLOGY, TRANSPORTATION

The Bugatti Veyron coupe grabbed a lot of attention due to its solid design and breathtaking speed. It now appears that the Bugatti brand is finally expanding its repertoire and moving forward with the Bugatti 16C Galibier, their very first modern 4 door sedan. The 16C Bugatti Galibier is truly a masterpiece, incorporating similar characteristics found in the Veyron while taking it to next level in terms of  luxury sedan design. Taking no chances, Bugatti quickly trademarked their 16C Galibier sedan shape guaranteeing that their unique design remains exclusive.

Boasting an 8.0 liter 16-cylinder flex fuel engine with 800-1,000 hp and a maximum speed of 220mph, the Galibier promises not to go unnoticed. Although the 16C Galibier, which is currently a concept, hasn’t been given the official “OK” for production, I doubt Bugatti would put all this time & effort into this car and not deliver. With that being said, the Bugatti 16C Galiber is expected to be priced at $1.44 million and will not be available until production ends in 2012.
