Louis Vuitton today unveiled the travel case to hold the FIFA World Cup Trophy. Specially designed for the event, the travel case has been entirely handmade by a master craftsman in the workshop of Asnieres. This case has been unveiled in the presence of Patrick-Louis Vuitton, Yves Carcelle (CEO of Louis Vuitton), and also the supermodel Naomi Campbell. Kanye West appears to be moving on to bigger and better things, as he recently put his $3,995,000 Hollywood house up for sale. The 3 bedroom/3.5 bathroom 4,214 square foot house, which was originally purchased in 2003 for $1,750,000, combines contemporary interior design with pop art. A life-size Buzz Lightyear figurine, Burton Morris’ Jetsons paintings, Takashi Murakami’s plush toys, and a fish tank in the bathroom are just a few of the many intriguing features of Kanye’s pad. If you had the funds, would you buy? I believe it would be a mistake not to because it would definitely, as Mr. West would say, put your “swagga on a hundred thousand trillion.”

Fashion Surgical Masks

What would you do if you were an out of work art director with some free time and you wanted to help fight the Swine Flu epidemic plaguing Mexico (and looking pretty grim all over the place)?  Irina Blok decided to get creative with some fashionista surgical masks . She says: With all the paranoia about swine flu i think there’s an opportunity to do something cool - design fashion surgical masks! Not only they are aesthetically pleasing, they can save your life (well.. not really.. they mostly just look good.)

My favorite by far is the awesome Domo-Kun reference (in the center). She’s going to produce limited quantities of these masks and sell them for $10, and you can email her if you want one! All proceeds go south of the border to help fight the flu epidemic. No word on where she’s donating though.
